True Love

More often than less , we are in search of love from other people, forgetting the fundamentals of love; loving ourselves. It’s not a crime because the natural man in us craves love. What we forget is,we can’t give what we don’t have.

How can we let in someone else when we don’t see value in ourselves. In my opinion, that is where most insecurities branch from.

If you have the ability to love, love yourself first

Charles Bukowski

What are your expectations this Valentine’s day?First, you don’t have to be in a relationship to reckon with the lovers day..Little piece of advice, relationships are not a bed of roses, and it takes more work than what meets the eye.

I believe love should prevail in the darkest of days.Love is not a one day show and if that’s the case,i doubt we understand what love really means.According to the great Manuscript, love is patient, love is kind.it does not envy,it does not boast,it is not proud,it does not dishonor others,it is not self-seeking,it is not easily angered ,it keeps no record of wrongs.Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects,it always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love liberates.It does not bind.

Maya Angelou

Before we seek love from others,we should question the true love for ourselves..You attract what you are not what you want.If you want love, then you have to give love,

To love yourself means accepting who you are with your flaws and weaknesses. This is not always easy, but to accept these things is very important. Acknowledging what makes you perfectly imperfect makes you a better partner and a friend.  I do struggle with this as well, but I know that no one is perfect and we are all worthy of love, as the people we love are worthy. The truth is that if you honestly love yourself the world will love you because you radiate happiness, beauty and self-confidence.

I hope you find the deepest form of love this Valentine’s.

Happy Valentine’s ♥♥

Love is an act of faith in another person,

not an act of surrender
